What kind of person Shunsui Kyoraku?

Shunsui Kyouraku is a handsome Soul Reaper wearing a fancy flowery kimono and former captain of the 8th division, now serving as the 1st division captain in place of the dead Genryusai. Full name is ``Shunsui Sakuranosuke Girou Kyouraku(京楽 次郎 総蔵佐 春水), he is called "Kyoraku" by the people around it.

Kyouraku likes sake and women, so he spends his days drinking and playing with women. However, he is strong enough to serve as the captain of the 1st division, and it is believed that he inherited his decisiveness from his master, Genryusai. He called Genryusai Yamaji (Pa Yama) and was very sad when Genryusai died.

In The Thousand-Year Blood War Arc, he lost his right eye after being attacked by Robert Accutrone and wore an eyepatch, which put him in the same state as his Zanpakutou's Katenkyoukotsu.

He was the slackerest of the Thirteen Court Guard Squads, but now he's grown up to serve in the 1st division.

About Shunsui Kyoraku Zanpakutou

Shikai : KatenKyokotsu

Kyouraku's Zanpakutou is a pair of two swords, which is rare in Soul Society, and Ukitake and Ichigo have the same style. His Zanpakutou name is Katenkyoukotsu(花天狂骨), written in kanji and means ”花天” = flowers in full bloom, ”狂骨” = bones discarded in a well. A bone that holds a strong grudge because it was abandoned. Katen(花天) refers to a beautiful woman, and Kyoukotsu(狂骨) seems to have died for some reason, and the resentment of the woman who became bones seeps into her bones and appears as a ghost. Triger command is ”Hanakazemidaretekashinnaki, tenpumidarete tenmawarau(花風紊れて花神啼き　天風紊れて天魔嗤う)", it meaning is "The flower wind picks up and the flower god sings, the heaven wind picks up and the devil laughs".

Shikai's abilities make child's play a reality. Anything within Katenkyoukotsu's ability follows its rules,everyone, including Kyouraku, both enemies and allies of course. Katenkyoukotsu decides the setting of the child's play, so even Kyouraku himself doesn't know, but Kyouraku understands Katenkyoukotsu and enjoys fighting. The rules for children's play are summarized below.

Katenkyoukotsu Technique 1 : Busyougoma (不精独楽)

Busyougoma meaning is lazy spining top. Use Zanpakutou as a spinning top to send a slashing wind at the opponent. This wind can block the opponent's movement.

This is the simplest technique among the Katenkyoukotsu' techniques.

Katenkyoukotsu Technique 2 : Takaoni(嶄鬼/High tag)

Takaoni is japanese child's play. Takaoni rule is decide on the demon first. Count the number to 10 and the demon will chase everyone. Those who run away will not be touched if they are in high places. You have to move in 10 seconds to be in a high place. The demon wins if you touch it.

If Katenkyoukotsu sets the rule to Takaoni, it will be advantageous if you are in a high place. However, if your opponent is in a higher position, you will give them an advantage, so be careful.

Katenkyoukotsu Technique 3 : Kageoni(影鬼/Shadow tag)

Kageoni is a so-called Shadow tag. As you know, if you touch, the tag will be transferred, but in the shadow tag, if you step on the shadow, the tag will be transferred.

Katenkyoukotsu's ability is that if you step on an opponent's shadow, you can sneak into the opponent's shadow and take a surprise attack, and if you stab the opponent's shadow with your sword, you can deal damage to that part.

It is a technique that can be used because it can move with Kyouraku's sophisticated and quick Shunpo (Soul Rear movement method). A surprise attack from the shadows may be cowardly, but it's a privilege of Kyouraku who enjoys fighting.

Katenkyoukotsu Technique 4 : Irooni(艶鬼/Color tag)

Irooni is also Katenkyokotsy ability, Ironi follows the same rules as color tag. The rule is that Katenkyoukotsu, the owner of the Kyoraku, and his opponent can only attack with swords of the color they say.

Kyouraku and its opponent can alternately say colors, resetting when attacked. The more colors you wear on your body, the more damage you can do to your opponent, but conversely, the less colors you wear, the less you can inflict scratches. It is exactly like a gambling rule that allows you to win a game with high risk and high return.

Katenkyoukotsu Technique 5 : Darumasan ga Koronda(達磨さんが転んだ/Red light,Green light)

Darumasan ga Koronda is famous child's play in japan and overseas. overseas name is "Red light,Green light". In Japan, instead of saying "Red light Green light", they say "Darumasan ga Koronda" if the player stops when looking back and After saying "Darumasan ga Koronda", it's safe, and if it moves, it's out.

The rule is that if you touch it before it is found, you win, and if you find it before you touch it, you win.

Katenkyoukotsu Technique 6 : Kageokuri(影送り/Move your shade to vast sky)

Kageokuri seems to have originated in Japan, and it's a game that uses an optical illusion where you stare at your own shadow for about 10 seconds on a sunny day, and if you quickly look up at the sky, you'll see an illusion of your own shadow.

Kageokuri is a technique where if enemy see Kyouraku's shadow, enemy can trick by showing the afterimage of that shadow.

The troublesome part of this technique is that the stronger the Reiatsu the user has, the stronger the afterimage can be left, making it easier to trick the enemy. It's a technique that goes well with Kyouraku.

Katenkyoukotsu Technique 6 : Yubikiri(指斬り/Pinky Swear)

Yubikiri originated in Japan and is a children's play where people make vows by crossing each other's little fingers. Half-jokingly, if you break your vows, you will be punished by swallowing a thousand needles. It's unlikely that you'll actually do it, but wouldn't it be scary if it did?

Katenkyoukotsu is really give punishing. Lying inflicts damage, and each lie increases the punishment.
The first time, the finger will not move, the second time, the whole body will be paralyzed with the pain of being hit, and the third time, the pain of being stabbed in the internal organs will be given as a punishment.

This technique does not appear in the anime or manga, but appears in the novel "BLEACH Can't Fear Your Own World".

Bankai : Katenkyoukotsu Karmatsushinju (花天狂骨 枯松心中)

Katenkyoukotsu's Bankai is a Bankai that attacks the opponent based on the story of a man and woman's love and double suicide story called Karamatsushinju.

The Japanese meaning of Karamatsushinju(枯松心中) is “枯松”= a relationship between a man and a woman like a withered pine, and “心中”= Double suicide, and is also used in Japanese rakugo stories.

This Bankai is like a story, and it hunts down the user and their opponents in a step-by-step fashion.

Phase1 : Tameraikizu no wakachiai(躊躇疵の分合)

躊躇疵の分合(Tameraikizu no wakachiai) means 躊躇疵(Tameraikizu) = hesitant wound, の(no) = of, 分合(Wakachiai) = sharing, which means that a man hurt a woman's body.

Phase2 : Zanki no Shitone(慚愧の褥)
