What kind of person is Kenpachi Zaraki?

Kenpachi Zaraki is a large male character with eyepatch, shaved eyebrows, and mafia look. He is the captain of the 11th division. Yachiru Kusajishi is the vice-captain, and Ikkaku Madarame and Yumichika Ayasegawa are the subordinates.

He was born in Ryukongai, a place where souls led by the Soul Reaper live, far from the Soul Society. Ever since he can remember, he has been wandering around in search of battles with strong people. At that time, he happened to meet Kusajishi Yachiru, who later became his vice-captain.

When Kenpachi was bored, he met Unohana, who was called the first Kenpachi at the time, and lost the battle. He admired Unohana and he enlisted in The Thirteen Court Guard Squads. When he enlisted, he killed the 11th division captain at the time and enlisted. The reason why he wasn't caught is that the 11th Division has decided that someone named Kenpachi will take office, and there is a one of tradition that when taking office, the current Captain must be killed. When Kenpachi writen in Kanji "剣八(Sword Eight)", It means that no matter how many times they are cut to death, they will never fall down. It's a fitting name for him. 1st:Kenpachi Zaraki【The 11th Kenpachi】

There is nothing Zaraki cannot cut, even steel can be cut in half with a single stroke of his sword. He won the battle against Gremmy, a Quincy with the cheat-like ability to make anything he imagines come true. Zaraki is listed as a special force for Yhwach where Yamamoto Genryusai is not, and it is likely that Zaraki is stronger than Yamamoto Genryusai. Although the abilities of Zaraki's Zanpakutou are unknown, I have ranked him No1 based on his past battle results and future potential.

2nd:Retsu Unohana【The 1st Kenpachi】

Retsu Unohana is the Shinigami who became the first Kenpachi, and the character after which Kenpachi was named. Unohana is a powerful Shinigami who can instantly defeat Zaraki, who has not yet inherited the name of Kenpachi. Although she has a cool face, she is quite a battle maniac. In order to enjoy the battle longer, she learns Kido's healing techniques to heal herself and her opponents while fighting.

Ultimately, Unohana lost the match against Kenpachi Zaraki, so she placed this rank.

3rd:Kenpachi Kuruyashiki【The 7th Kenpachi】

Kuruyashiki is a Shinigami who appeared in the Bleach novel "Spirits Are Forever With You". He is in the same generation as Ukitake and Kyouraku, and is so powerful that he was recruited by Squad 0.

Kuruyashiki Zanpakutou Name：Gakakukairou(餓樂廻廊)

"飢(Ga)" meaning is Starving. "樂(kaku)" meaning is fun. "廻廊(kairou" meaning is Long and winding corridor. The Shikai name is the same as the Bankai name. This Shikai can summon around 30 white, spherical creatures the size of a brown bear, with mouths that grow huge fangs. It seems that Kuruyashiki's Shikai has powers comparable to Bankai.

Bankai's ability is to create giant jaws that appear within a radius of several miles, and can devour all beings except for Kuruyashiki. However, in his battle with Azashiro, who would later become the 8th Kenpachi, Kuruyashiki did not use his Bankai because Kyouraku and Ukitake were around him, and he was defeated by Azashiro. Kuruyashiki was not a fighting person like Zaraki or Retsu, but a person of character who was well liked by the Shinigami around him, and therefore did not use his Bankai.

4th:Kenpachi Azashiro【The 8th Kenpachi】

Azashiro Kenpachi also appears in the Bleach novel "Spirits Are Forever With You." He killed Kuruyashiki, took on the name of Kenpachi, and was promoted to captain of the Squad 11th of Gotei 13. Azashiro was born into a noble family, but his entire family was killed because people around him feared his noble family power. His Zanpakutou awakened to the power of Bankai when his sister was killed. Normally, a Bankai must go through a process of training, dialogue with the Zanpakutou, and submission, but Azashiro ignored this process and obtained Bankai, making him an extremely rare Shinigami. Azashiro Kenpachi was imprisoned in Muken with a 19,500 year prison sentence due to an incident, so the vice captain took over as captain and Kenpachi name.

Azashiro Zanpakutou Name : Urozakuro(雨露柘榴)

"雨露" meaning is rain and dew, "柘榴" meaning is pomegranate. This Zanpakutou ability is fusion, Has the ability to fuse with matter and assimilate and control the fused object. In the novel, he gained infinite Reiatsu by fusing with all matter in the Soul Society. The abilities of Urozakuro's Shikai are not clear, but his Bankai acts as a shield and his Shikai acts as a spear. Therefore, the two abilities have a dual power, and Aizen also considered them to be the strongest. However, he has a weakness in that it takes more than a year to use his Bankai ability after using his Shikai ability.

5th:Kenpachi Kiganjo 【The 10th Kenpachi】

It can be said that Kiganjo Kenpachi is the most weakest in All of the Kenpachi, He was later killed by Zaraki in one blow. Normally, it was customary for the person who killed Kenpachi in a duel to inherit the name of Kenpachi, but perhaps due to the incident with Azashiro, this custom was temporarily passed on to the vice-captain, which could be said to have lowered Kenpachi's levels.

Why did Zaraki kill Unohana?

The name "Kenpachi" has a long history, having been created around the time the original Gotei13 was created. First of all, when you write Kenpachi in Kanji, it becomes "剣八", but the meaning of the kanji is "剣" (Ken) meaning sword and "八" (pachi) meaning eight. This symbolizes that no matter how many times Kenpachi are slashed, Kenpachi will not fall. Kenpachi is a name given to has overwheliming power Shinigami among the Shinigami, and can only be inherited by one person. Therefore, there is a rule that the name of Kenpachi is inherited when a Kenpachi is killed by a new Kenpachi.

The first Kenpachi was Retsu Unohana, who was discovered during a killing spree on the outskirts of Soul Society by Genryusai Yamamoto, who invited her to become a Shinigami. Unohana and Zaraki first met when Zaraki was still a child. Zaraki was also constantly fighting on the outskirts of Soul Society, and was discovered by Unohana. Naturally, they got into a fight, but during the fight, Unohana became convinced that Zaraki was stronger than her. Zaraki was bored because there was no one stronger than him, so he found the fight with Unohana very enjoyable. However, if Unohana died, he would be bored again, so he went easy on her and purposely lost to her. About Kenpachi Zaraki Zanpakutou

Shikai：Nozarashi (野晒)

Kenpachi's sword has a tattered cutting edge before Shikai, but in the fight against Ichigo and NNOITRA GILGA, he fought without activating Shikai, so his raw combat ability is quite high.

His Zanpakutou name is "Nozarashi", when writen "野晒" in kanji, it meaning is human bones that have been exposed to the elements and turned into white bones or their condition.
