What kind of person is Hachigen Usyouda?

Hachigen Usyouda is a plump male Shinigami with pink hair. He weighs a whopping 377 kg against his height of 257 cm, making him a very large figure that would make an ordinary person bedridden or a sumo wrestler. 110 years ago, he served as the vice captain of a group called Kidosyu(鬼道衆), a group of people who excelled in kido, and ran it together with the group's leader, Tessai Tsukabishi. He has a very gentle personality and is greatly admired by his friends, and sometimes even their unreasonable requests come true. He is nicknamed Hacchi by those around him.

Hachigen is a Kido expert, and among Kido he seems to specialize in Bakudo, which creates barriers. Orihime Inoue has similar abilities and Hachigen feels sympathy for him. When Orihime's ability, Shunshun rikka's Tsubaki, was injured, Hachigen healed her. Hachigen seems to have gotten to know SUI-FUNG, but she doesn't like anyone involved with Kisuke Urahara, and she also dislikes Hachigen. However, during the battle with Baraggan Louisenbairn, SUI-FENG temporarily fought alongside Hachigen, promising to imprison Kisuke Urahara in Hachigen's special barrier for one month.

Hachigen is a victim of Aizen's plot and is inadvertently given Hollow's powers. Because of this, he is expelled from Soul Society and ends up living in Karakura Town with Kisuke Urahara and his friends.

Hollow mode

Hachigen Usyouda can transform into a Hollow, and becoming a Hollow greatly increases his speed and power. However, it also has the disadvantage of being at a disadvantage in long-term battles due to high attrition. Hachigen's Hollow mask resembles a lion-like sacred animal called Barong, which is worshiped on the Indonesian island of Bali, and it is speculated that this may be the motif.

We summarized Hachigen Usyouda all kido. He also has his own version of Kido, which has a stylish name. Also, although he is a Soul Reaper, Zanpakutou did not appear in the story. It is probably strong even without using Zanpakutou.

Hachigyou Sougai (八爻双崖)

Kido was developed when it became Visored. Eliminate the existence of a barriered space from the consciousness of living things. In other words, living things don't even have the idea of ”getting close to this place.” However, people with the same properties as Hachigen could see through it, and Orihime was able to pass through this barrier.

The meaning of the kanji is the symbol "爻", which was used in ancient Chinese Feng Shui, and is a symbol representing yin and yang, male and female. There are 8 of them, which means ”Hachigyo(八爻)”. “Sougai(双崖)” means two opposing cliffs.
