Amon is a handsome, well-built male character, and He is a Ghoul investigator working for the CCG. He is a brilliant student who graduated from the academy at the top of his class, and is a serious person who never misses a day of training. He can handle low level Ghouls without a Quinque. There's a reason why he trains so much: his past.
Amon was an orphan raised by Donate Porpra, who runs an orphanage. However, Donate was a ghoul and raised Amon while hiding from him and eating the children at the orphanage. Amon wanted to know why Donate raised a human child even though he was a ghoul, so he enrolled in the CCG academy. At the academy, he was so overwhelmed by the instructors' guidance that he would cry, and people around him called him a crybaby. However, after the orphanage incident, he worked hard every day and was able to graduate from the academy at the top of his class. After becoming an investigator, he made a female best friend, Harima, and worked as a partner with a CCG investigator, but lost her during a whack-a-mole operation. His new partner Akira even pointed out to him that she wondered if he saw the late Harima in her. Eventually, Akira expressed her feelings to Amon, but he turned her down.
After the orphanage incident and Harima's death by a ghoul, Amon believes that the ghoul is to blame for all the misery in the world. But with the arrival of Ken Kaneki, Amon is forced to reconsider what a Ghoul really is. Has his opinion changed?...
Why did he become a Ghoul?

During the owl extermination operation, Amon fights against the centipede Ken Kaneki, inflicting serious damage on Kaneki, but he is also left near death and the two end up killing each other. Afterwards, he is attacked by Aogori, who capture him. Amon's body is then handed over to Kanou, who forces him to undergo surgery to turn him into a Half Ghoul. However, as a Half Ghoul, he suddenly develops an abnormal Rc value, and is called a "floppy" and treated as a failure.
Amon then escapes from Aogiri. He contributes to the CCG by rescuing CCG investigator Saiko from being eaten by Shikorae, but he is confronted by Owl, who injured Akira. He is then defeated by Mutsuki and Urie, who rush to fight back, and is captured as a subject for analysis by the CCG. However, he is freed by the researchers and reunites with Kaneki, and also meets Touka, who killed his boss, and he forgives her for what she did.
Amon cooperates with Kaneki and the others to face the final battle against V and Crown, but comes face to face with his foster father, Donate. Amon is hesitant to fight Donate, but when Takizawa returns the cross he has, he realizes that he too is the one distorting the world and understands his love for Donate who raised him, and defeats Donate.

Kureo Mado

For Amon, Kureo Mado is the most trusted boss he has ever had in his life. When he and Kureo became partners as investigators for the CCG, Amon was a little skeptical of him after hearing rumors about Kureo. Apparently, This rumor that Kureo is a quirky Quinque collector who has no interest in investigating.
However, as Amon investigates with Kureo. he realizes that the rumors are false. Kureo's wife was killed by a ghoul, and he was only thinking about how to brutally kill the ghoul with Quinque, and although his grudge was slightly twisted, he shared similar beliefs to Amon. Amon quickly sympathizes with Kureo's investigative beliefs and begins to respect him, but when Kureo is killed by a ghoul he was pursuing in the investigation, Amon believes it was his fault and his resentment towards the ghoul grows even more.
Akira Mado

Akira Mado is the daughter of Mado Kureo. She is a junior who graduated from the academy just like Amon, and has a very similar personality to Kureo, being very logical personality. By some fateful coincidence, when Amon and Akira became partners as CCG investigators, Amon wanted to become closer to Akira and invited her out to dinner, but she refused, saying that she had decided not to eat anything after 9pm (probably to avoid gaining weight). Before meeting Amon, Akira had resented him for being the partner of her late father's CCG investigator, but as they worked together on investigations, she began to fall in love with him. Before he fight with Kaneki, she confessed her feelings to Amon, but he rejected her. In Tokyo Ghoul re, they reunite and work together to defeat V and the Crown. They are then seen departing together in silhouette, but it is unclear if they got married.
Ken kaneki

Amon, who has always hated ghouls, meets Ken Kaneki. Amon is driven to the brink of death by Kaneki, but Kaneki asks Amon to run before he kills him. Kaneki has just become a ghoul and is conflicted about eating and killing humans or not, which becomes an opportunity for Amon to change his mind, as he had previously assumed that ghouls are evil beings that eat humans.
